1. Choose the right supplier

Look for factories with verified export experience to West Africa. Ask for manufacturer certificates, test reports, and third-party inspection options before you commit.

2. Confirm certifications and standards

For Nigeria, confirm CE, ISO9001 and IEC61215/61730 compliance. Request both the English documentation and the original test certificates.

3. Agree on price and payment terms

Clarify FOB or CIF pricing, minimum order quantity, and secure payment methods such as T/T or L/C. Keep a written proforma invoice with all fees listed.

4. Arrange shipping to Nigeria

Ship to major ports such as Apapa and Tin Can (Lagos). Work with a freight forwarder for container booking, customs clearance and local delivery.

5. Plan for customs and import duty

Prepare your import documentation and factor in Nigerian import duties and clearing fees. A local clearing agent helps avoid delays at the port.

6. Verify product quality on arrival

Inspect panels for damage and test output before distribution. Keep spare parts and a warranty plan for your resellers.
